Making it move…

These animations were created for Heath Mount School to feature on their website (it’s a pretty posh school).

There is a gryphon on the school’s crest, so it was natural to make it into a friendly character who hangs out with the young students. The original illustrations were rendered in pencil and the animation brief was to maintain that quality. The movement was to be minimal so that the animation didn’t draw the eye from the content of the web page. They were also small (which rather defeats the subtlety of the original pencil drawing, but there you go…).

I made these in Flash originally. But here they are presented as animated gifs.
