Christmastime, 2012, was when I hit upon the idea of sending an ecard to clients, hoping to drum up business in the New Year.
Fourteen Christmases later it still seems like a good idea, but its getting harder to come up with fresh angles.
I’d figured out how to “hack” google mail and embed a GIF in HTML, meaning the card got delivered as regular email without a link that people might be suspicious of clicking on. Keeping the GIF to a reasonable size has been an ongoing challenge.
This is a compilation of ten past efforts (some ghosts were too rubbish to be resurrected). I feel I peaked in 2019, though 2021 is my favourite. 2023 proved to be controversial. The different names come from the fact that I had to call the files something, I thought I’d share that too.
