A family of characters for BACS

a case study in getting the most out of graphic assets

The Smart Family are a group of characters designed for BACS, the organisation responsible for the clearing of automated payments in the UK.

The characters evolved around a 50s aesthetic. They had to animate in a web page so originally I made them in Flash. But here they have been converted to SVG code (using a really handy plugin for Adobe Animate call SnapSVG) and embedded in the HTML.

As well as the animation, the characters were used for various print media, brochures, leaflets, flyers etc. And a spinning plates style promotional online game, which is no longer on a server anywhere that I can find, so all I have are some screenshots.
